They ingrained in them both the importance of service and the value that every person brings to the world. Kent has degrees in Business Education and Accounting as well as an advanced degree in Management Information Systems and Training & Development. Melanie finished her degree in general studies in 2020 after taking time to raise an amazing family where she spent a lot of time researching gerontology and developed a strong interest in aging and a desire to pursue a new career as a Hospice Chaplain. Kent and Melanie met at Utah State University where they were both studying and were married. They have four children and four grandchildren. Kent and Melanie have lived in Nebraska, Ohio and Utah in the US and moved to Las Vegas to start A Better Solution in Home Care in 2021. Prior to Las Vegas, they spent nearly 16 years working and volunteering in the Middle East.

They love spending time with family, traveling and experiencing new cultures, and serving in meaningful ways in their local community. They have a real love for people and have discovered a passion for caring for the aging as they have seen firsthand the importance of meaningful, compassionate, and professional service as family and close personal friends have passed in recent years. Kent and Melanie are committed to supplying Summerlin and the surrounding areas with appreciated, quality caregivers and exceptional service creating peace of mind to families and clients that they serve. For them, it is all about family, and they consider their caregivers and staff as well as their clients, part of the family.
